Station I

Jesus is condemned to death

Leader: O Jesus, so humble and resigned, teach me to accept my trials with dignity and courage.

Leader: We adore you, O Christ and we praise you.

Response: Because by your Holy Cross, you have redeemed the world.

Leader: In the morning, the chief priests, elders, scribes and the whole council, binding Jesus, led Him away and took Him to Pilate saying: He is guilty of death; we have found this man saying that He is Christ the King. And Pilate sitting in the place of judgement, handed Jesus over to them to be crucified.
